In a First for Western North Carolina, Buncombe County Commission Passes LGBTQ-Inclusive Nondiscrimination Ordinance

Tonight, the Buncombe County Commission voted 6-0 to pass an ordinance that protects residents from discrimination based on race, natural hair or hairstyles, ethnicity, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin or ancestry, marital or familial status, pregnancy, veteran status, religious belief or non-belief, age, or disability.
