Amy Coney Barrett: Here's What We Do

If last night's egregious abuse of power by our elected officials displays anything, it's that we are living in unprecedented and terrifying times.

Decades of legal gains for our community, from abortion to same-sex marriage to voting rights, are threatened with Amy Coney Barret on the bench. We have a long road ahead of us in order to safeguard the future for ourselves and our families. But, first, we have to get through this election -- and that's when the work really begins.

We are only one week away from Election Day, and the survival of our communities in the decades ahead hinges upon us all showing up to the polls in record-breaking numbers. Voting will not fix this mess, but it will position our communities to immediately affect change come next January. A few things to note:

  • Today is the LAST DAY to request an absentee ballot. In order for your vote to count, it must be received by Election Day -- but don't wait until then. The sooner the better. More questions? You can view our Voter Faq here.
  • We are offering free Lyft rides to the polls up to $15 through Oct. 31! Need a Lyft? Head here to request your code.
  • Got an hour or two to spare? We're looking for folks to (safely) help get the word out about pro-equality candidates at the polls, or phone and text bank for our pro-equality candidates from home! More info here.

We can't lose hope at the eleventh hour; let the events of the past 24 hours galvanize you to take action rather than lead you to despair. Thanks for all that you do for us and for our communities -- happy voting!
