We wanted to take a moment to elevate some resources as you face the days and weeks ahead. All of us have been thrust into unexpected situations and many of us have taken on new roles as caretakers or community leaders. No matter what your life looks like at this moment, please know that taking care of yourself is the most important thing you can do.

Even if you have other people that you are responsible for, you can't take care of their needs if you're struggling yourself.

  • Our community partner Novant Health has a wealth of information surrounding physical health during this time. Should you feel that you've contracted symptoms of COVID-19, they've developed an online assessment and the option for virtual visits with providers. Many healthcare practitioners are providing similar resources, so please check-in with your doctor or contact Novant if you are without a provider.
  • You can call Novant Health's 24/7 coronavirus helpline at 1-877-9NOVANT with any questions.
  • If you're unable to access care throughout Novant Health, GLMA has compiled a list of LGBTQ-affirming healthcare providers.
  • ENC maintains an ongoing list of mental health resources, including support for folks who are struggling with addiction or in recovery. This list also spans areas like unemployment, childcare, food scarcity and internet access.
  • If you are in crisis, please call the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255, The Trevor Project at 1-866-488-7386 or the Trans Lifeline at 877-565-8860.
