Equality North Carolina Is Here For you

From the entire Equality North Carolina staff and board, we sincerely hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy as we navigate this new reality together. Please, know that you are not alone during this harrowing period in human history -- and that ENC is here to support you in the weeks and months to come.

If you're looking for a repository of resources, we've compiled an ongoing list on our website. From mental health to food scarcity to unemployment, we're updating this list daily for you to remain abreast of the groups and individuals engaging in mutual aid efforts across our state.

COVID-19 is most directly impacting the most vulnerable Americans and revealing the massive flaws and holes within our social and political systems. LGBTQ individuals and other marginalized folks are having to navigate harsh, complicated institutions that have historically shut us out or treated us as less than human.

These are scary things to face, and ENC is committed to being your voice and support system as we decipher this daily shifting landscape together.

ENC is also moving all of our events into the digital realm in an attempt to foster community during a time when many of us are more isolated than ever.
This Thursday, April 9, we will host a virtual discussion group for transgender, gender nonconfroming and nonbinary folks at 7PM. This support group will meet every Thursday, and we'll soon launch a regular meeting for our LGBTQ elders, as well as host a variety of entertainment and community events as we head into the Spring.

Stay tuned to our website and social media for updates on these events.

LGBTQ people have a rich history of building community and finding one another during some of this country's most difficult periods.

Please, join us as we continue this tradition and come together and support one another during this hour of need.
