Trans people deserve to live freely and without fear of discrimination. Our family members, coworkers, students, veterans, and community the same rights and protections as anyone. To access health care, public life, and to live with dignity.
These are dangerous times. Across the country, and right here in efforts are being made to erase, criminalize, and dehumanize trans people through rhetoric. I'm asking you to be a voice of reason and compassion.
Please reject any bill that targets LGBTQ+ people and work instead for fairness, inclusion, and equality for all. North Carolina should be a place where we all thrive, regardless of our identity.
