RALEIGH – Today, Equality NC PAC released its first round of endorsements for the 2023 municipal elections. There are additional endorsements to be rolled out soon.

The endorsed candidates are:

  • Jess Anderson, Chapel Hill Mayor
  • Barbara Foushee, Carrboro Mayor
  • Matt Hughes, Hillsborough Town Commissioner
  • Ben McDonald, Knightdale Town Council
  • Kris Rixon, Wendell Town Commissioner
  • Anne Robotti, Morrisville Town Council
  • Anthony Sutton, Waynesville Town Council

Additionally, Equality NC has a staff member, Eliazar Posada, running in the Carrboro Town Council race, so to avoid conflicts of interest ENC PAC is not endorsing anyone for Carrboro Town Council.

In times like these, with the NC Legislature passing extremely hostile legislation, our communities need and deserve powerful elected officials ready to speak out for social justice. We're so pleased to have a strong slate of progressive, inclusive, candidates.
