Be a part of the 2016 Transgender Day of Remembrance

In remembrance of those who have been lost due to transphobia and to recognize the continued violence against the transgender community (including egregious laws like HB2), Equality NC recognizes Transgender Day of Remembrance with the rest of the nation on Sunday, November 20th.
Every year, the names of those lost are recited at events across the country and we are honored to partner with organizations all across the state to offer our assistance. Join us at one of these events near you:
This year’s Transgender Day of Remembrance is especially important as we endeavor to continue to recognizing the value of our LGBTQ communities, especially our transgender siblings. On November 20th, we seek to honor those whose lives have been lost in our long battle for this recognition.
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow, Sunday.
