Equality NC Action Fund's Inaugural Tuesday Twitter Town Hall Features Candidate Conversations and Voter Engagement

Use the hashtag #vote4equalityNC to join Equality NC Action Fund's Tuesday Twitter Town Halls.

Equality NC Action Fund's first “Tuesday Twitter Town Hall” hit the popular social media network on Tuesday, September 25, from 7-8 p.m., designed to promote its pro-equality #NC endorsements and provide a forum for election education and interactivity among pro-equality candidates and voters using #vote4equalityNC.

Equality NC Action Fund, the political action committee of Equality NC, North Carolina premier Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender advocacy group, took over the Equality NC Twitter account (@equalitync) for an hour-long discussion of its latest candidate endorsements, including Walter Dalton for Governor, Linda Coleman for Lt. Governor and Sam Ervin IV in the North Carolina Supreme Court race.

Participants, which included current candidates for North Carolina races as well as engaged voters, took to the Twitter waves to discuss key races, voter engagement and the current state of political activism.

Equality NC Action Fund will continue hosting these weekly Twitter forums until Election Day, Tuesday, November 6. By popular demand, next week's Twitter Town Hall (Tuesday, October 2) will focus on pro-equality legislative candidates in rural areas of the state.
