North Carolina Coalition for Lobbying Reform
The NCCLR, a nonpartisan collaboration of more than 45 of North Carolina’s conservative and progressive organizations and leaders, is pushing for legislation to make lobbyists report all of their expenditures on legislators, slow the revolving door from public interest legislator to special interest lobbyist and clean up other lobbying laws.
Equality NC is a member of this coalition, because we know that conservative and business lobbyists are able entertain legislators in a way that a grassroots nonprofit can't compete with. As an organization represented by three registered lobbyists, Equality NC believes that that the playing field needs to be leveled.
