The Equality Federation
The Equality Federation is the national coalition of statewide LGBT advocacy organizations. The Federation works to strengthen statewide organizations and their leaders.
The Equality Federation provides opportunities for statewide leaders to share best practices and develop their skills. The group also works to direct resources to statewide organizations and maximize efficiency by providing shared infrastructure, such as the Get Active system which Equality NC uses for our online action center and email communication.
Equality NC was a founding member of the Equality Federation in 1996, and has been active since. Currently, our Executive Director Ian Palmquist serves as Co-Chair of the Equality Federation Board of Directors.
