Welcome Aboard
2/9/2010 - Equality NC welcomes Lorraine Johnson and Chevara Orrin to the board, while Equality NC Foundation welcomes new board members Chanda Fausphoul and Pamela Jones.
Chanda Fausphoul has joined us as a new board member of Equality NC Foundation.
She and her partner, Dr. Anna Voytek, have been long-term supporters of Equality NC and leaders in the Triad.
They both live and work in the Greensboro area. Chanda works at Guilford Technical Community College in the Faculty Dental Department, and she is a die-hard Duke fan.Lorraine Johnson joined Equality NC's board, bringing more than two decades of experince in the financial services industry. She is the principal of Triangle Financial Advisors and a representative of Triad Financial Advisors.
Lorraine is a member of the Greater Raleigh Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners and serves as co-chair of the Public Policy Committee. She is also a member of the Raleigh Business and Professional Network.
Lorraine enjoys music, theater, and travel.Pamela Jones comes to Equality NC Foundation's board after spending her 21-year career in sales with Chalmers & Kubeck, Inc. She has two children and one grandson.
Pamela is cofounder of Charlotte Gender Alliance and Charlotte Interfaith Connection, and she serves on the board of trustees of the Charlotte Lesbian and Gay Community Center.
Pamela is active in her church, Holy Trinity Lutheran in Charlotte. She enjoys speaking to civic groups and churches, and presenting at the university level.Chevara Orrin is a new Equality NC board member. She has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than 15 years and has served as a community volunteer and advocate for more than 30 years, and she is currently the Director of Conferences and Institutes at Winston-Salem State University and co-owner of WhiteSpace Gallery located in the historic Piedmont Leaf Lofts. She is married to Marlon Hubbard and has two sons, Michael and William.
Chevara serves on the boards of Twin City Stage, Partnership for a Drug-Free NC, Winston-Salem Symphony, RiverRun International Film Festival, Women’s Fund of Winston-Salem, and the Citizen Police Review Board. In addition, she is president of the Winston-Salem Symphony Encore Society and serves as advisor to Winston-Salem State University student organizations Black Men for Change and the Gay-Straight Student Alliance.
