Equality NC Raises $32,161 Through Its Turn the Tide Campaign!
9/14/2011 - Equality NC exceeded its goal to raise $15,000 by midnight on September 13 by 114 percent, raising $32,161. This number sets a new record, eclipsing our Bucks Against Bigotry campaign this past spring which raised $14,016.
We are deeply grateful to the 345 donors who stepped forward to make donations, many of them for the first time. Small and large, each gift will help give us the additional resources we will need to fight the anti-LGBT amendment that will now go to ballot next May.
The gifts are in addition to the gift of $10,000 made by Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes and his fiancee Sean Eldridge for their Facebook challenge to us.
