Trans Day of Visibility 2023

Friday, March 31st is Trans Day of Visibility.

It's an important day for celebrating, recognizing, and uplifting the power and stories of our trans communities.

But visibility, while vital, isn't enough. This year, TDOV sits at a crucial junction for our communities. Around the country, we've seen a brutal onslaught of legislation targeting trans youth and adultsâ€“a hostile program reaching even the highest levels in Washington D.C. Visibility without protection can mean that our communities are vulnerable. That makes it all the more urgent for us to take action for transgender liberation.

Today and every day, celebrate trans people, elevate trans power, and speak out against transphobia, whether in everyday life or the halls of legislative power.

Equality NC will be hosting a panel honoring TDOV in Durham. We encourage you to come out in celebration, or to attend one of the wonderful events below.
