2009 Equality Conference & Gala LogoEquality NC Foundation cordially invites corporations, small businesses, and nonprofits to sponsor the Equality Conference & Gala, our premier daylong event for LGBT North Carolinians and their allies. This will be our third year and we will have much to celebrate, including passage of the School Violence Prevention Act. SVPA will protect ALL vulnerable kids from bullying across our state, including LGBT kids, and Equality NC Foundation is proud to have played a key role in educating people about the lifelong harm it can cause.

Last year’s Equality Conference & Gala attracted 350 attendees, up from 300 the year before, and we expect at least 400 this year. The event will take place in Greensboro on Saturday, November 14, and our preliminary schedule should be complete by mid-September.

The daytime conference will be held at the UNCG Elliott University Center, giving us more room for breakout sessions, and the evening gala will be held at the beautiful Empire Room in downtown Greensboro across the street from the future site of the International Civil Rights Center & Museum.
