Directions for the 2009 Equality Conference

Elliott University Center, UNC Greensboro

Located on the UNCG campus, on Stirling Drive between Walker Ave. and Spring Garden St.

From I-40W/85S, keep right to continue on 40W toward Greensboro/Winston-Salem. Take Exit 218B toward Freeman Mill Road/Coliseum Area and turn right on Freeman Mill Road.  Turn left at the first stoplight onto Coliseum Boulevard. Follow for approximately 1.5 miles and turn right at the fourth stoplight onto Walker Avenue. The Walker Avenue Parking Deck will be on your right after Kenilworth Street

From I-85 North, follow Business 85 towards Greensboro, then take the Holden Road exit and turn right on Holden Road. Follow Holden for approximately 4.5 miles and turn right on Market Street. Follow Market Street for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn right on Aycock Street South. At the first stoplight, turn left on Walker Ave. The Walker Avenue Parking Deck will be on your right after Kenilworth Street. <

From I-40 East, follow the signs for Greensboro and take the Wendover Avenue East exit. Follow Wendover to the exit for Market Street (3.5 miles). Turn right on Market Street and follow for less than 1 mile. Turn right on Aycock Street South. At the first stoplight, turn left on Walker Ave. The Walker Avenue Parking Deck will be on your right after Kenilworth Street.

Parking 

Complimentary conference parking will be available in the Walker Ave. Parking Deck, directly across Stirling St. from the Elliott University Center.

From the Conference at UNCG

From the Walker Ave. Parking Deck, Head South on Stirling St. Turn left on Spring Garden St. Drive 1.1 mi and turn left on S. Elm St. The Emipre room is in 0.2 mi on the right at the corner of Elm and February One.

From the West
I-40 East  to Exit 218B, Freeman Mill, then Freeman Mill becomes Edgeworth St and then
turn right on W. Market Street and then right on S. Elm Street. Empire Room is one block
down on the left. 

From the East
I-40 West to Exit 128, E. Lee Street.  Keep right at the fork in the ramp.  Merge onto E. Lee,
then go 3.19 miles and turn right onto S. Elm Street. The Empire Room is on the right in the
200 block of South Elm. If coming from this direction and wanting to park in the garage, you
will turn right on Washington and left on Davie. Go about  and you will see the parking
garage attached to our building, The Elm Street Center.

From the South
I-85 North/US-70E/US-29 North towards US-220 South. Take the US-220 North exit #122B toward I-40 West/Coliseum Area. Merge onto Freeman Mill Road. Freeman Mill becomes Edgeworth Street. Turn right onto West Market Street and then right onto South Elm Street.
The Empire Room is in the 2nd block on the right.

Parking

Parking for the gala is complimentary.

Please note you can park your car in the parking garage behind The Empire Room, then walk around the corner to the front entrance (the back entrance will be closed).
